Bill Shows Off His Art

Yaletown House is part of the B.C. Ministry of Health's Care Division and contracts Complex Care Services with the Vancouver Coast Health (VCH). We accept admissions from hospitals and other care facilities, as well as the community. Our mandate is to provide a caring home and health care services to individuals who can no longer live independently and require 24 hour professionally supported residential living.

Social Work Services

Resident and Family Services are integral to the development of the Yaletown House community, as each resident is assessed independently and their unique needs are recognized and valued. Throughout the pre-admission process, admission, residency, and discharge phases, the Manager of Social Work is available for assessment, information, consultation, and assistance with social, emotional or financial problems or concerns.

Access to residential care facilities is managed by the VCH. Unfortunately, we are not able to advise you if you will be assigned to Yaletown House or where you are placed on the general waitlist. Please contact your case manager at Vancouver Coastal Health for more information.

If you would like a tour of Yaletown House, or for questions about admissions, please contact Andrena Gamblin-Smith, Manager, Social Work at 604.806.4201 or e-mail her at
