Located in Vancouver's downtown community of Yaletown, Yaletown House provides 24/7 care quality health care and services ranging from nursing, dietary, laundry, housekeeping and therapeutic recreation. Current Openings - Casual RNs and LPNs

Registered Nurses
Position: Registered Nurses (RN)
Yaletown House Contact:  Lorraine Wentland lwentland@yaletown.org
Description: Reporting to the Manager of Clinical Practice, assesses, plans, implements and evaluates resident care in conjunction with the interdisciplinary team.  Provides guidance and work direction to Care Aides and LPNs.
Qualifications: • Graduate from an approved nursing program.  
• Current practicing registration with the College of Registered Nurses of BC
• Completion of a Basic Cardiac Life Support.   
• One year recent related experience in gerontological nursing
Skills and Abilities: • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to interact therapeutically with residents and their significant others
• Ability to apply decision making and analytical skills.
Start Date: Ongoing
Days/Hours of Work: • Days and Evenings Shifts 7.2 hours
• Night Shift 8 hours
Salary (hourly): As per BCNU Collective Agreement.

Licensed Practical Nurses
Position: Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN)

Description: Full scope of practice LPN including medication administration
Qualifications: • Current full practicing licensure with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of B.C. (CLPNBC)
Skills and Abilities: • Interest in gerontology.
• Effective oral and written communication.
• Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care.
Start Date: Ongoing
Days/Hours of Work: • 07:00 - 15:00
• 15:00 - 23:00
• 23:00 - 07:00
Salary (hourly): As per HEU Collective agreement.
