“A Gift in Honour of Maria, our mother. To contribute to the legacy of music that was a joy throughout Maria’s life. So that future generations may be touched and comforted by music’s own gift at Yaletown House.”
In appreciation and remembrance, The Way Family
We would like to acknowledge and thank the Way Family Children: Anne, Stephen and Paul, for their recent generous donation in Memory of their mother, Maria Way. Maria was a resident at Yaletown House for over 10 years and she passed way in May 2007. She was a lovely person and is remembered fondly by the staff and residents.
Music was a very important part of Maria life at Yaletown House as it provided a communication outlet when words were no longer easy to remember. Recognizing the value that music played in Maria’s life, Paul, Anne and Stephen chose to make this gift towards our current fundraising campaign, Quality of Life Starts at Home, especially the creation of a dedicated Music Therapy Area within the campaign. Through the love and appreciation of music, the Way Children have made a very thoughtful gift that will benefit the residents who live with us today and those we will care for in the future.
Our thanks for the gift of music.
