Yaletown Lions give $36,000 for Quality of Life Starts at Home

Although the Yaletown Lion’s first fundraising event was called the Black and White Gala, the money raised for Yaletown House was definitely pure Gold. Thanks to the generosity of the Lion’s, Concord Pacific, event sponsors and guests, $36,000 was raised for the benefit of Yaletown House seniors.

On June 14, with the help of many volunteers, Library Square Promenade was transformed into an elegant affair that include a catered dinner by the Opus Hotel, silent and live auctions, special performances, chamber music and awards.

Tremendous thanks to Evelyn McNulty (Gala Committee Chair) and Richard Collins (President) with Prompton Realty, Very Special Thanks goes Committee Members: Kim Roberts (HSBC), Jason Tenisci (Royal Bank), Selvan Chetty (Opus Hotel), Tobey Wong (Prompton) Terry Kim (CareVest Capital ), Claire Lelacheur (Prompton), Alaina Burnett (Concord), who shared their expertise, enthusiasm and commitment to making the Gala a huge success.

Our gratitude also to the Infinitus Quartet, Barbara Shishido, Yaletown House Foundation Board of Directors, and the many donors who contribute to the auctions.
