A little Spring Arrival

While the snow was falling in Vancouver on a chilly February 28th morning, we still managed to bring in a little bit of Spring inside thanks to Divine Vines, Urban Fare and Capilano Garden Works.
These three generous community-minded businesses regularly donate cut flowers and plants to our horticulture therapy program. Under the guidance of our two therapists, Coral and Janelle and with the help of a mighty team of volunteers, gardening is a favourite program among many of our residents, especially those who had patio boxes or full gardens in their own yards.
We are grateful to have a strong horticulture therapy as our seniors benefit from the physical exercise, sense of accomplishment and most importantly it bring a little extra sunshine into their day.
