Volunteer Appreciation Week -Thank you!

In celebration of National Volunteer Week (April 23-29) we hosted an event to recognize our 65 plus team of dedicated, enthusiastic and always smiling volunteers. We served up pizza, salad and cake to the many individuals, and four legged friends, who were able to attend the party. The residents sang, the staff tapped danced – thanks to a lesson from resident Jack – and we distributed handmade gifts with gratitude to everyone. Yaletown House is so fortunate to have these individuals contribute in countless ways including supporting horticulture, art and spiritual services, one to one visits, sewing/mending, reading, pet visits, card games, walks and duet bike rides on the seawall, tending to the bird and fish, and the numerous other activities too long to list. Thank you – you all rock!

We would like to send out a big thanks to Dominic Fielden owner of Rocky Mountain Flatbread Company for delivering another fine meal for our Volunteer Appreciation Party.
